te Little Peaceful, but she targeted the wrong person. She shouldn't have gone after such a young...young fellow; otherwise, she might cause trouble herself...""Why Who's this little...little brother"...Chapter 222: Escaping Again 2
This person was in one of the ordinary cells within Heavenly Jail, nothing special about him or his cell. But at this moment, he stood out as being particularly unusual because everyone else was noisy about their meals while he remained quiet.
His silence made him stand out but this shouldn't come as a surprise to Xianyao; such occurrences have a certain probability of happening and thus there's no need for him to be surprised by it.
The reason why Xianyao felt unexpected was because he knew this person. Even if they were to meet in an ordinary place, he would still feel surprised. Here, however, the person was disguised, even高手難以看出他的偽裝。不過,逍遙還是發現了,並且是一眼就看出來了。
After taking a glance at him, Xianyao immediately turned his head away; he didn't want to be recognized by the other party. The other party had hidden motives here that were definitely aimed against Heaven Gate, and there was no reason for him to provoke them because of it.
This person wasn't a simple character; regardless of the power behind him, his own strength could easily take care of Xianyao!
For this reason, Xianyao quickened his pace and left hurriedly in order not to provoke this person. The other party's originally calm eyes revealed a trace of surprise as if realizing Xianyao’s identity, even more so understanding that he might have already been noticed by the latter.
How could this be possible How did this kid see through my disguise
Hmph. This time I came for an important matter but unexpectedly bumped into this brat. Why would this brat show up here It’s too strange!
Sigh, no need to bother with him. Just focus on the main task first; he won't affect anything anyway. Previously at any moment it could have affected the plan, but now there shouldn’t be a problem. But I should inform others and control this kid; otherwise if this brat causes trouble again, it would be very troublesome!
"Let's leave immediately; we shouldn't linger here."
After leaving Heavenly Jail, Xianyao made the decision to leave right away. The underground palace had already been thoroughly explored and there was no longer any special value left for him.
"Eating, quickly prepare yourself, we need to pack up and run away!"
"Eating"
"Why are we running away Because a demon is here, even more so a female demon. This trouble will definitely be significant; let's withdraw first before getting involved!
Eating!!"
"Go and block that tunnel completely. We don't need it anymore and we shouldn’t risk others discovering it."
After returning to the house, Xianyao summoned Eating and explained the situation before instructing him to destroy the tunnels; for Eating this was a small task to accomplish.
The underground passage was originally in soil and tiny, making it hard for others to notice once blocked. Combined with how the entrance to the underground palace was also conveniently hidden, finding such a small opening within an extensive underground palace would be extremely difficult.
"Should we inform Miss Second about this After all, I did meet her."
Wrinkling his brows in hesitation, Xianyao had no connection to anyone else here other than Eastern Wumian. Although they hadn’t become friends, he considered them acquaintances.
If others knew of Xianyao’s thoughts regarding Eastern Wumian, they would be speechless; originally, she was merely an acquaintance for him.
Even Eastern Wumian herself would find it distressing; she had already treated Xianyao like a friend, although not the best kind, but still a friend. Not just an acquaintance.
Xianyao’s luggage was simple, consisting of only a backpack almost identical to what he brought here before. Everything else made during this period either sent through eagle letters to Solitary Star or kept on his person or in Eating's stomach.
At present, looking at Xianyao, one could tell he was going out; though not necessarily for a long journey, it seemed certain that he would be gone for some time. Everyone appeared indifferent about this and found it normal.
Xianyao sometimes went out to collect herbs or joined an expeditionary team, or even went alone. As long as he himself felt safe enough, others wouldn’t worry about his safety, having grown accustomed to such behavior.
This is how it was, and Xiaoyao was about to go find Dongfang Wuniang. However, a problem arose because he didn't know where exactly she might be. It had always been Dongfang Wuniang who sought him out; he himself never went looking for her, so naturally, he wasn’t aware of where she usually resided.
Fortunately, this Heaven Gate was not that large. At least within the realm of activity for a second daughter like Dongfang Wuniang, it wouldn't be overly expansive. Xiaoyao inquired, and someone promptly informed him of her whereabouts.
The present hour was midday rest time, yet Dongfang Wuniang typically spent this period cultivating in the training room. The Heaven Gate's training rooms were located close to the practice grounds, each with independent defensive capabilities so they wouldn’t be affected by external circumstances.
Xiaoyao immediately set off quickly towards the training ground. Along his route, there were numerous people coming and going—mostly inner sect disciples. This area was primarily for inner sect members; outer sect disciples had no right to stay long-term unless under special circumstances or while preparing for a breakthrough.
His arrival seemed to draw some attention from the onlookers here, none of whom recognized Xiaoyao. Perhaps they had heard that Dongfang Wuniang was acquainted with an outer member but didn't know who this person was or what he looked like. They didn’t care because it wasn’t their business!
Although Xiaoyao attracted some attention, the inner sect disciples didn’t seem overly concerned since it wasn’t unusual for outer members to enter here. These outer members were usually required to perform certain tasks such as cleaning or repairs that the inner sect members would not undertake.
Xiaoyao made his way unimpeded until he reached the training grounds, whereupon announcing his intention to find Dongfang Wuniang, obstacles began to appear.
"What You're here for Second Miss Dongfang Who are you What gives you the right to see her" The inquiring inner sect disciple's demeanor changed abruptly as he regarded Xiaoyao with hostility.
"My name is Xiaoyao. Please inform Second Miss that I have something important to discuss." Xiaoyao spoke very politely.
"So you're the famous Xiaoyao, humph! Don't think being acquainted with Second Miss gives you airs! Let me tell you: it's fine for her to seek you out but not vice versa. Get back to where you belong!" The inner sect disciple was quite dismissive.
"Hmph, an outer member thinking of getting close to Second Miss Pure fantasy!" The inner sect disciple sneered as onlookers nearby also eyed Xiaoyao with disdain.
It seemed the inner sect disciple knew a bit about Xiaoyao and had some resentment towards Dongfang Wuniang himself. Thus, when he saw Xiaoyao, he wanted to belittle him because while the former had no chance of speaking with her, Xiaoyao did. This was infuriating!
"Excuse me, could you please just inform her where I can find her It's urgent!" Xiaoyao remained courteous despite this.
"Urgent business What do you have that’s urgent You’re a mere herb gatherer and chef. Perhaps the food is running low That’s simple—I’ll assist. Head to the vegetable fields down below and pick your own vegetables!" The inner sect disciple continued his disdainful tone, deliberately pointing out Xiaoyao's role in an attempt to demean him.
Xiaoyao wasn’t bothered by this; he had merely intended to cook for Dongfang Wuniang as a courtesy!
"No, it’s not that. Could you just tell me where she is" Xiaoyao shook his head and said.
"I’ll say again: this place isn’t yours to be in; go back to your designated area! Otherwise, I’ll make sure you get a taste of my fists!" The inner sect disciple waved his fist threateningly at Xiaoyao.
"Sorry, are you trying to make things difficult for me" Xiaoyao looked at the inner sect member and asked. It was obvious; he wasn’t stupid and couldn't miss it.
"That’s right—I am making this difficult for you. What Don’t like that" The inner sect disciple replied, full of disdain.
"No, I shouldn’t have come to someone so high up in the first place. Perhaps I’ll just look around myself." Xiaoyao spoke slowly and calmly.
Initially, the inner sect member felt a sense of satisfaction, thinking Xiaoyao had surrendered to him; but that last sentence made it clear he hadn't actually acknowledged his status at all.
"Boy, what’s your game" The inner sect disciple was first taken aback and then became enraged.
"My game is for you to step aside so I can pass." Xiaoyao said coolly.
At this moment, the inner sect member felt his face burning. Xiaoyao’s words made him feel like he’d been slapped; furthermore, the looks from other nearby inner sect members made him feel even more humiliated, which was hard to bear and began fueling a rising ire within.
"Well then, an outer member daring to speak thusly to me is truly asking for it!" The inner sect disciple lunged with his palm towards Xiaoyao. If this were anyone else, the blow would likely result in death or severe injury; after all, most outer members were ordinary people. (To be continued)out craftsmanship, some of the discarded swords would be much better than Xiao Ya's blunt one. However, they were eliminated because they had gone off the path of their original sword type."The remain...
